Ashley actually met us early Sunday morning to accomodate us with the sale! On a scale of 1 to 10 Ashley was a 10!

Michael and Mary Louise M.

Ashley was awesome to work with! Working with Ashley was a wonderfully positive experience. She went over and above my expectations of working with a realtor. Ashley never gave a thought to going the extra mile to help us sell our father's house. Her energy and knowledge of the current market aided us in the quick sale of the property.

Georgianna Allen

Who would have thought when we first started look for a real estate agent we would have found someone we couldn't wait to see every Friday. We're so happy and lucky to have found her; it feels like we have known her for a lifetime. We are both looking forward to seeing her from time to time on Friday's for coffee and a donut and a few good laughs. She is truly the best!

Wendy and John Paul

Ashley stepped in for our agent while he was on vacation. We were searching for a home near the beach that was basically a "good deal". She tirelessly showed us around and had a feel for what we liked and didn't like. We were returning to Baltimore on a Monday morning when she called with a recently foreclosed house that she thought we might like (based on what we had liked and disliked that weekend). We negotiated, with a great deal of help and suggestions from Ashley. She was always one step ahead of the deal and had answers to our questions immediately. Her attentiveness and responsiveness was amazing. We now have our retirement home and can't thank Ashley enough for her help.

Helen and Dick

Ashley could not have done a better job.  She was attentive without being pushy.  She really understood what we wanted and was very patient as we found it. We have already recommended her to several friends and family. She is a star!

Keith and Julie

Of all the Realtors that we have known you are by far the nicest, sweatest, and most helpful.  We appreciate your hard work and all that you have done to assist us. Thanks so much!

Mary Lou and Frank

Our Realtor, Ashley Brosnahan was simply amazing, nothing short of spectacular, would highly recommend her to anyone, simply the best!!!

Vicki and Neal

Ashley was very professional. I was very pleased with Ashley, each time I called her she got back to me quickly.

Ray W.

Ashley was dependable, efficient, courteous, and professional. Nothing was too much trouble for her to do. All agents should be like her. Very kind and thoughtful too!

About Bethany Beach

Bethany Beach, DE has long been considered the quiet resort. From its humble beginnings as a Christian retreat town to today's diverse population of summer residents, Bethany Beach is the embodiment of the sleepy beach town. Bethany was founded by the Christian Disciples of Christ of the Washington and Philadelphia area. It has come a long way from being a town devoted to a Christian retreat to today's population, both year round and summer residents. While Bethany remains a quiet beach town it has a lot going for it. The fourth of July celebration in this town is not to be missed. Bethany host a lot of fun filled summer events on the Bandstand that are not to be missed as well. The town has quite a unique way of bidding adieu to summer during its Labor Day Jazz Funeral.

The fall brings the shoulder season and things kick into low gear. The annual boardwalk arts and crafts festival is not to be missed.

Most of the locals will not miss the Caribbean Christmas charity event at Mango 's every year. It is the highlight of the Bethany Beach charity events.

The town of Bethany Beach is surrounded by the Beaches and Bays that everyone comes to the Delaware shore to enjoy. To the North and South are the Delaware Seashore State parks, which provide residence and visitors the opportunity to enjoy the natural beauty of the Delaware Seashore. At the Beaches to the north you can enjoy the state park beaches which are utilized for surfing, fishing, sunbathing and all sorts of beach activities.

Also to the north located in the North Side Indian river inlet is the state owned marina which has year round boat slips, a dry stack marina facility, fishing charter boats, a small restaurant, and bait and tackle shops.

To the South of the town is the Fenwick Island State Park and the Assawoman State Park. Beautiful Beaches and access to the Assawoman bay round out the places that locals and visitors love to frequent. The Assawoman State Park has tons of wooded trails and access to some of the most secluded wetland areas of the State. This makes it an ideal place to go for some peaceful relaxing walks or some fun times spent on the waterways with children.

One of the most striking landmarks of the town is the Bethany Beach Totem Pole. The 24’ statue has been greeting homeowners and guest since 1976. The sculpture was donated to the town by Peter Wolf Toth. Toth created the sculpture as part of his “Trail of the Whispering Giants” project which includes 50 sculptures scattered up and down the coast and into Canada. Originally placed at the corner of Route 1 and Route 26 the sculpture stood until 1992 when it was damaged beyond repair by the heavy winds of the beach and termite damage. The totem pole was removed and sent to the Naticoke Indian museum in Long Neck. A second sculpture was created by Dennis Beach which lasted until 2000. The second sculpture was taken down due to the base of the sculpture rotting. The sculpture that now stands was created by Toth, and is carved out of a western red cedar log which should last another 50 years.  The totem pole that now stands was dedicated on July 15, 2002. It again greets the residents and visitors of the Beach town on a daily basis.

The Delaware Seashore's Beautiful beaches and laid back lifestyle make it a perfect place to get away from a frantic pace of life that lies just a few hours to our north and west. In addition to the natural beauty and serene lifestyle we enjoy some of the lowest property tax rates in the area as well as no sales tax. Take a moment to check out all that the area has to offer.

Grotto Pizza

In 1960, Dominick Pulieri, along with his sister, Mary Jean Pagliante and her husband Joe, ventured to Delaware to open a pizza restaurant. This was the birth of Grotto Pizza. During this first summer, pizza slices sold for 20 cents each and a whole pizza was $1.60. The challenge, however, was to introduce pizza in an area where it was not recognized. To create a market for his pizza, Dominick and his sister spent long hours talking to people and handing free samples to the people who passed by his restaurant. In July of that summer, he noticed he was starting to get many repeat guests and it was the local Sussex County guests, and later the tourists, who put Grotto Pizza on the map.

JD's Filling Station

On a long family road trip we were talking in the family van about what to make the restaurant, original plans were not going to work with the name, history of Lewes and the town, we decided to look into the history of the building. So we started to ask friends and customers if they had any recollection of the build- ing. From all accounts and dates from actual customers to our managers they indicated the following historical infor- mation... 1940's 329 Savannah Road was a gas station... 1950's Bait & Tackle was added and mid 50's the gas station closed and dry cleaning was added... 1960's Bait & Tackle went from smells of fish to become a beautiful florist shoppe... Somewhere between 1967-69 the florist closed and was convert- ed into a Greek Restaurant serving Fried Chicken and dinner... Between 69 and present it has been numerous types of restaurants with a good following for breakfast.
