Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and arguably has the most options, but recently, everyone seems to be skipping it. However, breakfast is having a resurgence, and it’s likely credited to the new healthy options and rise of Instagram food photography. One trendy breakfast option is protein-filled breakfast bowls, which include boiled eggs, antioxidant-rich kale, vegetables, and quinoa. Another popular item is yogurt parfaits, which layers yogurt with fruit, granola, honey and chia seeds. The trend of putting avocado on toast has no signs of slowing down. It seems simple, but mashing up avocado with seasonings on a perfectly toasted piece of bread is an art. Gluten-free options are still a must for food establishments, and it’s no easy task to remove gluten from breakfast meals on your own.
