Calling All Photographers!

Calling all photographers and lovers of Bethany Beach! The Town of Bethany Beach wants to know what makes Bethany Beach special to you. They are encouraging anyone, whether you live in Bethany Beach year-round, or have only visited once, to submit a photo taken in Bethany Beach that matches the theme: “Only in Bethany Beach.”
So start digging through your archives and submit your favorite photo of Bethany Beach. It could be a picture of the sunrise from one of our sunrise yoga classes, or a photo of one of Bethany Beach’s famous landmarks, like the bandstand overlooking the boardwalk. Maybe you have a great photo from one of our free concerts featuring a jazz group or country band, or one of the family-friendly events, like movie night or beach bonfires.

Photos must be submitted by December 15, and the grand prize of the contest is a coveted 2020 VIP Parking Pass. According to contest rules, photos can be of any season, event, or memory as long as they were taken in Bethany Beach.
Some tips when entering a photo contest include reviewing the rules before submitting and sticking to the competition’s theme. Read and re-read the rules of the photography competition to see how many shots you can submit, when they need to be in and what format they should be in. Remember that the judges will potentially be viewing thousands of images in their task of choosing winners so if your image is just like everyone else’s it’s not likely to even get on their radar. The most compelling images tell a story, hit people with emotion, or evokes some sort of reaction in those reviewing the image.
