Army 10 Miler; Supporting a cause

The Army Ten-Miler is the second largest (after the Philadelphia Broad Street Run) ten-mile race in the United States. It is held every October in Arlington, VA and Washington, DC, sponsored by the U.S. Army Military District of Washington. This year 35,000 runners participated. We are proud to announce that Ashely Brosnahan and Heather Gates of The Ashley Brosnahan Team of Long and Foster Real Estate- Bethany Beach DE. formed the “Beach Brigade Team” and ran the Army 10 miler in support of The Fisher House Foundation on October 8, 2017. Team Beach Brigade raised $2725.00! Heather Gates is a United States Navy Veteran and has participated in this race for the last 2 years, Heather stated “ Being a Champion for Military families is the least I can do to give back. The Fisher House is an Amazing organization that allow families to be together during times of recovery. I will always do my part to see that this organization receives support. God Bless our Military and their families” Ashley Brosnahan had never participated in the Army Ten Miler or any race for that matter but put in the training necessary and found herself totally immersed in the Team Fisher House and running world. Ashley stated “ 10 miles seemed like a unachievable goal, but with training and the goal of raising funds and awareness for The Fisher House foundation, I found how rewarding it is, and the sense of pride for the men and women who put their life on the line to keep us safe” On behalf of The Ashley Brosnahan Team, we thank all the members of the Beach Brigade and hope you join us next year for this wonderful event.
